How to choose the right AWS GPU capable EC2 Instances and launch your first machine learning project for that instance type

The benefits of machine learning (ML) are becoming more easily accessible as an increasing array of tools are becoming available that shorten the onramp for the eager masses who are ready to leverage it for their own projects. The challenge, as it frequently is with new technology, is where to start and how to do so effectively without hitting dead-ends that create unnecessary frustration.

On July 9th, Microsoft will end support for SQL Server 2008. That means the countdown is on with a little over one month left on the clock before regular security updates end and organizations running these workloads will be exposed to possible cyber-attacks. Unfortunately, it doesn’t end with SQL Server 2008.  In January, Windows Server 2008 will reach end of support (EOS). Like death and taxes, EOS is inevitable for almost all software products, which is why it’s smart to start assessing your ongoing risk from product retirement.

 As the year comes to a close, we wanted to take the opportunity to share and reflect on some of the exciting news recently announced at AWS re:Invent – the world’s largest gathering of the global AWS community – and the developments we’re most excited about for our customers heading into 2019.
